About Us
Two guides, one shared passion for Québec
Alentours Québec was born from the meeting of two passionate guides: Jean-François Muise and Jean-François Bennett. After working together as guides in Québec and on Île d'Orléans, we quickly discovered a shared vision: to offer more human, authentic experiences closer to people.
Jean-François Muise
Co-founder & Guide
Jean-François Muise has worked as a tour guide since 2019. After an interruption during the pandemic, when he returned to his former trade as a professional truck driver, he resumed guiding in 2023. He then completed his training at the École Saint-Lawrence in Québec before becoming a full-time guide. His background in transport, customer service and guided tours allows him to offer a professional, warm and well-organized experience.
Jean-François Bennett
Co-founder & Guide
Jean-François Bennett is a true history enthusiast. Known for his remarkable memory, his conviviality and his lively way of recounting events, he loves revealing places far beyond dates and facts. For him, every visit is above all a meeting and an opportunity to bring the history of Québec to life.
Together, we created Alentours Québec to offer a different way to discover the region: a single group of 2 to 5 passengers, two passionate local guides and a Volkswagen ID. Buzz as distinctive as the experience itself.
Our goal is simple: to let you experience Québec as if you were from here.
